Examples of Investment Impacts:

$10 can provide a bale of hay

$25 can provide a bag of feed

$50 can help with routine hoof care

$100 can provide materials/games/learning tools for educational and therapeutic activities in the classroom or arena

$300 can sponsor one of our therapy horses for a month of feed, hay, hoof care, and stall shavings. See our Sponsorship page for more info!!

$500 can assist with hiring part time barn help and a qualified assistant instructor to be able to serve more students in the community.

$1000 can go towards larger needs such as facility upgrades, a used horse trailer, or a major therapeutic dream tool- The Equicizer (equicizer.com) mechanical horse that can give students who, for medical or other safety reasons, are unable to ride a live horse, for those learning therapeutic vaulting, for students to build muscle tone or confidence or the ability for students to practice during inclement weather situations.

Current Fundraising Needs:

Donations will be applied order of priority unless the donor specifies a certain goal:

  1. Hay- $9.50 a bale. $950 immediate need for 100 bales delivered this week from a local Hudson Valley, family run farm. Estimated need of 500 bales through the upcoming winter months. $3800

  2. Farrier (hoof care) needed this week- $70 per horse x 5 = $350

  3. Vet- Past Due ($700 still pending from Joe’s colic surgery and aftercare treatment which, sadly, includes our final costs with the loss of him after a year of great recovery) and Upcoming Costs for wellness exams, vaccines, fecal egg counts, annual health plans for each horses’ individual physical and nutritional needs). Waiting for vet estimate

  4. Hay Bonnet $800 for our paddock so our horses have access to hay that is protected from rain, snow, mud, and helps them stay healthier and warmer during the winter while also cutting down on waste, thereby cutting down our overall hay costs—(available at a wonderful local Hudson Valley horse tack and feed shop staple: Greene County Horseshoe Supply).

  5. Sand for our round pen for safe footing during therapeutic lessons with our students and everyday training sessions with our horses. Winter in NYS= way too much slippery mud= possible injuries and cancellations for students who need as much continuity as we can provide without an indoor arena. 70 diameter round pen= $700

  6. Horse Trailer- Looking to raise $3500-$5500 for a safe, well maintained 2 horse trailer, 3 horse slant would better but we’d be so grateful for the most efficient trailer right now that would give us peace of mind in a vet emergency and allow us to transport our guys to a local indoor facility for therapeutic lessons and healthy conditioning during inclement weather.

  7. Equicizer-  is a full-size Equestrian Riding Simulator, which replicates the feel of riding a live horse and would be a game changer as part of our equine therapy program for new rider assessments, training, riding and vaulting practice without taxing our horses, for use in inclement weather (as we don’t have a covered arena) and for specialized therapy for those unable to ride a live horse due to medical or behavioral safety concerns. $3,495

  8. Covered Arena

-The Equicizer- The Equicizer is used by adaptive riding and equine assisted therapy programs world-wide as a fun alternative ways of conducting therapeutic exercises for children and adults with disabilities. They’re currently being used in equine assisted services that conduct adaptive riding, hippotherapy, rehabilitation facilities, youth outreach centers, and recreational & therapeutic horseback riding programs. The Equicizer has helped improve the lives of those with physical, mental and emotional challenges, especially for those students with medical contraindications that prevent them taking part in the therapeutic riding program on a live horse, or those struggling with anxiety about horses or tolerating a helmet, this is a safe alternative that allows the experience of movement on a horse. It can also be used for instructional activities in inclement weather, practice with vaulting skills, and confidence building that is a huge benefit to our students.
