Unmounted Programs

Developing a relationship with a horse begins on the ground, not in the saddle. Unmounted students work on building trust and creating an authentic connection through understanding how horses think and communicate while also learning all facets of horse care.

-Mindful Horsemanship Lessons: Students learn to interact with horses in a safe, trusting, mutually respectful way. Includes grooming, general care, equine education, leading and handling with a halter and lead rope, and liberty work (where the horses are free from any halters or leads and can engage without force). Private: 30 minutes: $65. Group: 60 minutes: $65 (Minimum 2/Max 6 participants).

-Mindful Grooming Sessions: Leave the outside world at the barn door! Working with a horse is an exceptional way to develop and deepen a practice of mindfulness, of becoming aware of our swirling thoughts and learning how to choose to focus on being present in the moment. The act of grooming a horse creates a powerful, restorative connection that engages the senses, lowers blood pressure and heart rate, increases happiness and decreases stress. Private: 30 minutes: $65. Group: 60 minutes: $65 (Minimum 2/Max 6 participants).
